In 2005, Soilbuild decided to enter the business space segment as part of a long-term strategy to develop recurrent income stream.
The move proved to be the right one - Soilbuild has since become one of the key players in this segment, leading the way with purpose-built properties hailed for their cutting-edge design and efficiency. Their popularity owes much to Soilbuild's expertise in design-and-build schemes for lease and sale, built from working hand in hand with JTC Corporation under the Developer Partnership Programme.
Today, Soilbuild has a total business space portfolio of 6.3 million square feet, with 3.0 million square feet held/developed for lease. Its ultra-flexible designs for business parks and centres as well as industrial space are geared to meet the needs of both MNCs and SMEs.
With six completed projects for lease - including Soilbuild's flagship development, Solaris at one-north - the Group is well on the way to meeting its target of achieving S$40 million in annual recurrent income by 2012. The Eightrium, Tuas Connection, Kranji Linc and Penjuru Logistics Hub are all making solid contributions, and revenue should receive a further boost once projects such as West Park BizCentral join the line-up.
